Cowles Mt. from a commercial flight on approach to San Diego. This is the nearest decent trail/hike to San Deigo and is very popular. There are four main routes up but the one seen here, the "Golfcrest Drive" route, on the southwest face is by far the most popular, climbing 933 vertical feet.
