Cows and Capitol

Cows and Capitol
You always hear about the cows (and the cowpies) on the ditch trail to Capitol, I thought this image captured the essence of that hike well. This is right before junction to the Capitol Creek Trail, follow the single trail that is curving off to the left. This basin is Colorado at its finest!

I spent three days in sheep while hiking the Highline Trail in the Uintas. As long as we stayed upwind, I didn't even know they were around! Very nice picture by the way.

Thanks! Its tough with a headlamp to avoid all of the cowpies... I'm sure I stepped in a few. But then again I stepped in the creek a few times too so maybe I washed it off, haha!

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."   --Calvin Coolidge
