well, the crampons...

we did put on five minutes later. We did not use a rope since no snow on the glacier and all creavsses were clearly visible.

I'd at least try to remove the 20kilo pack first. But I guess if you ever botch the jump, you can set up camp in the crevasse.

I cant see how this possibly ended well! No crampons, huge pack and it looks like you'll just hit the wall of the crevasse and slide down.

side of the crevasse was a little bit lower so my flight went all well. But I tell you, after that jump we both strapped on our crampons!

great picture, but it is funny, perhaps because of an optical illusion it looks like you'll never make it...like your momentum is already used up. Congratulations on the great August in the Alps!

I think that I would be afraid to jump without crampons... I know at least you cannot cut yourself, but what about if you would slip and had to climb out?
