Crevasses along the normal...

Crevasses along the normal route of Marmolada, near the start of the ferrata connecting the glacier to the snow ridge on top leading to the summit.

Ferrata?

I think that the 100m passage from this glacier up to the snow ridge can not be called ferrata. As far as I remember only a few pegs are left in rocks and so an easy climbing is required.

Re: Ferrata?

Hello Vid, You are right. The top section 'felt' like a via ferrata to me, but there were long sections at the bottom without pegs, just the wire. I'm not sure what exactly qualifies as via ferrata.
