Crew Equipment List
The following is a list, put out by Philmont staff, of the equipment that all of the crews are required to have with them on their trek. I have been told by many individuals that the equipment issued at Philmont is quite heavy, bulky, & not of the best quality. I am urging the crew leaders to organize their crews now and come up with your own set of supplies. Many of the supplies listed are things that most individuals will be carying already, like tents, ground covers, tent stakes, etc. Go over the list and see which items are things that you already know people are carrying, cross it off your list and move on to the next.Gentlemen, time is growing short and you need to take more responsibility for the organization & safety of your crew. Cut down on as many of these items as you all see fit and come up with a quartermester list for us to review and finalize.
If you need help we can go over each of these lists in detail together and try to answer any questions you may have. Remember that we need to think light and try to cut down some of these items if at all possible. If you have any questions post comments on this page or call one of the leaders involved with the trip.

You can find a picture below that I downloaded off the internet that gives you an good example of just what the food packets look like, and the quantities we are going to have to carry. Fun, Fun!!!!
