Crno Jezero

Crno Jezero (1416m) (Black Lake) is largest of 18 Durmitor lakes. By two peninsulas it is divided into larger and smaller lake. Crno Jezero is up to 49m deep with over 4km long coast line. During heavier droughts narrow and shallow passage between them becomes dry splitting lake in two. Crno Jezero is placed on the NE edge of central part of Durmitor, where it meets Jezerska Povrs plateau. Two kilometers from the shore is Zabljak town. Here it is seen from the summit of Mali Medjed (2170m).
