But what about the rock climbing routes?
East Face is one of the great climbs in this cirque... Grade IV, 5.10 goung almost directly to the summit of the needle.

|While there are many great routes in the general vicintity of Whitney, i personally have little knowledge of them, therefore, I decided to omit such speculative writing from the page until i can acquire more information. Thank you for your feedback though!|

|There was an attempt a few years back (successful?) to rename this peak to "Hulda Crooks Peak" in honor of Hulda Crooks, who climbed Mount Whitney many times. Unfortunately, she passed in 1997. Here is a page of interest:|
