Curious roe deer

Are they roe deers? I'm not sure. Their head is too big... I met them in the Schneealpe, on the 31st October 2012. They ran to me with curiosity, and approached me to 5 meter.

I have no info about hunting. Nevertheless any kind of visitor must be rare there. When I was on this mountain, the prvious snowing was 48 hours before my hiking. The snow was intact on the whole mountain: no footsteps anywhere
