I was out on a drive with my pup and noticed Currant Creek Peak on my GPS and decided I needed to bag it. I parked diredtly below it near a small lake that was just out of view from my parking area. This area in July is incredible. It was so green, lush, ridden with wildflowers that my senses were in overdrive. I headed directly up the east face, talk about super steep, the south ridge was definitely the better choice now that I have read this. The views were unreal. I couldn't see civilisation anywhere from on top, and an unbelievable view of the Western Uintas was had. I would do it again for the views!

2/1/2015 WMC 18.2 mile RT ski trip from route 40. Our fearless leader, Mike (arms of steel) Berry announced he forgot his skins about 5.5 miles into it. Nevertheless, he stood on the summit with me and Sharon.

1/29/2012 17 mile RT ski trip with WMC, starting from route 40.

10/4/2007 Nice fall hike. Found some geocaches along the way.

I went up the south ridge. There was only one snowfield on the peak below the saddle.

Interesting area, especially in winter. This peak turned out to be about a 12 mile day in 18 inches of dry powder. Also my first time over 10,000 ft. in December. It didn't feel like a 10,000 ft. peak though.

Could do with several other peaks in the area like Bald Knoll, Heber Mountain and Red Creek Mountain.
