Our food was included, but when Patricio heard that I was interested in having a cuy, he made a special trip so I could have one. He was excited, and our extra guide, Marco had one too. When I came down from Chimborazo they told Nord he should have had one too! They taste like pork but a little softer. I had a mixed plate in case it didn't work out! These guys don't understand why some Gringos think they make good pets!

article LOL. Sorry couldn't vote too high with a clear conscience, and I though a moderate vote will help to keep this image afloat if too many downvoters pounce on it :)

I'm glad you found some humor in this pic! I appreciate the vote, but if someone slams it I wouldn't mind. This cuy was just a small part of my trip. I'm glad it didn't turn out to play a larger role, if you know what I mean!

Taking pics of your food on exotic trips really helps round out the experience when you review the photos later. Or in this case allow for a few queasy stomachs. :-) They are tasty, just not enough meat for a hungry climber.
