Voted 10/10 | cool looking columns in the back too! Ice season is so close for Colorado! Cannot wait. Have to make it to the Canadian Rockies some time though... Is the rock shale behind the ice curtain and are there any mixed routes in this area, that is my real passion.

Hasn't voted | Yes, the rock is shale. The area the picture was taken in is called pont rouge. It is the venue for The North Face ice climbing festival each year in February and there are many hard ice and mixed routes in the area. Thanks for commenting. | | Posted Oct 13, 2007 1:23 pm |
