Dead quiet
I climbed up here from the busy Dante's View parking lot and found...silence. There was no noise from people, vehicles, insects, or wind. Just solitude and great views all around. Granted, your experience may vary, but this was the quietest peak I've been on so far.

Something to do while at Dante's View
Did a bunch of scrambling up and down and around the rocks below the viewpoint with my daughter, and then headed up to the peak while the family was hanging out at the viewpoint. 5 minutes up, a few minutes on top, and then 2 1/2 minutes down.

Sunrise hike after spending the night there. Did it with my GF Karen back in 2010 during a quick tour of the park on our day away from Vegas.

Hiked Dantes View Peak with all the kids and my brother on our annual RV trip. Great view and great fun!

Sunset Photography
Dante's View isn't much of a "summit" either but it did have some precarious walking to a high point where I set up my tripod and camera to catch the sun setting. My husband and I had dressed warm and sat for a couple hours watching the sun go down.

Great stroll
Fantastic stroll to great views and away from crowds. It was also my 2-year-old son's first summit almost entirely under his own power. Can't wait to come back for Perry!

Climbed so to and from Mount Perry. I don't think I would call it a proper peak unless done that way or from Badwater.

Amazing view
My car did most of the work, but I ran up and down this just for the heck of it. I wasn't expecting to find a geological marker and a cairn. Wow, was it hot and windy, and absolutely incredible.

A True Gem
What a way to finish up our badlands exploration day. With only minutes before sunset, I ran up to the summit in my sandles.

It was COLD!
Mike and I left Badwater in the early morning to hike to our bicycles we had left on Dante's View the night before. Then the snow started. 100 yd visibility. Inadequate clothing. Road closed (due to snow). No map. No compass. Overall, a great time! We gained valuable experience in exchange for some quality discomfort.
