So just read your xchange with Martin about getting rained on at Smith last weekend? Sorry to hear that. We were supposed to head out there but decided to call Redpoint and ask about the weather first...did not go. This weekend weather cycle sucks!

Was this a vacation or one of these drive for 20 hours each way to climb for 8 hours weekend marathons?

Thanks Radek! Yeah, I have never seen it rain so hard at Smith. We ended up taking a driving tour of the John Day fossil beds, then finally made it to Horsethief at 5pm and climbed for 3 hours. So at least the day was not completely wasted! This whole pattern of sunny & 70s during the week followed by a weekend of rain is killing me!

No, no, few of us are crazy enough to drive that far for a weekend of climbing. Besides, with the price of gas (especially in CA) it is almost cheaper to fly!
