Voted 10/10 | Hey Rick - this Dave was actually following one of Doug Nidever's guides (I was also following). I guess he is a little new to ice climbing, especially multi-pitch ice. City boy, you know :) Anyhow, he managed to drop his quark only 40' from the top of the climb. Fortunately it didn't hit anybody on the way down ...
The guide's name was Trevor I think, and if I am not mistaken he is credited with Doug as one of the first ascensionists of Hobnail Boots.
