Climbed it on the way to Baldy, but was happy that the trail does not go through the summit on the way back.

Wright-Pine-Dawson  Sucess!

Easy traverse from Pine Mountain. Probably my favorite part of the day with great views of the North side of Baldy. Nice relaxing walk after the climb up the north ridge of Pine Mt. Didn't see anybody all day.

Blue Ridge  Sucess!

The "easier" of the three of Pine, Dawson, and Baldy when coming from Blue Ridge Road. Short, easy, traverse from the trail to the top.

Nice for viewing Baldy's snow chutes  Sucess!

Been up numerous times in the past 38 years, usually in the winter from the Stockton Flat/Lytle Creek side. Often if climbing up the east Baldy/Dawson drainage and up a south facing route if it's too cold for something in the shade on Harwood or Baldy. Makes a good workout doing Baldy, Dawson, and Pine on the trail. Last time up was "easy" getting a ride on a Blackhawk for a Search and Rescue mission up Baldy and back.

Beautiful hot day in SoCal. Got to break in my new Lowa Mountain Expert GTX mountaineering boots; love them. Lots of Corn Snow and ladybugs. Went with Ryan (TDR), see next entry.

Bighorn Sighting  Sucess!

Did this one once via Wrightwood. This time I went over Baldy via Ski Hut. Planned to hit Pine too but got caught in a summer lightning storm extravaganza. Saw the bighorn going up Dawson's south flank.

Not so many people here  Sucess!

Good company here! Don't remember what day I went up here, but I want to go back soon. I should have been with Bruno on Sat.

Pine/Dawson combo  Sucess!

Planned on going up Pine but continued and did Dawson. No time for Baldy, which was ok. I didn't want to do anything too strenuous anyway.
