I think we should

all 'moisy' up to DeMoisy Peak and do
some snow boarding. Then again, I
probably won't make it up there 'till June.
Is northern Utah and southern Idaho
officially out of their drought? Thanks.

Re: I think we should

There is plenty of snow up there. Making up for years of drought takes time. My opinion is that we received a normal amount of snow this winter.

Re: Yes,

I just clicked on the picture, and I see
the happy skiers now. I didn't like the
drought, because it was far from 'normal.'
Perhaps it was a test of our faith? Are
there summer homes being constructed in
Ogden Canyon and the Snowbasin area? I bet
this area has became really popular since
the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002. But like
you say, there must be specific areas that
don't receive as much visitation as others. THANKS for posting, Melinda!

Re: Yes,

Ogden Canyon has summer homes but they have been there for a long time. New facilities were built at Snowbasin during the Olympics in 2002. It has remained a fairly quiet area. Most of the summer homes are located below nearby Powder Mountain.

Nice Area

I had the distinct pleasure of skiing Snowbasin 2 years ago. Terrific mountain, and a wonderful picture!

Re: Nice Area

Thanks Tim! It’s the best ski resort in the area. It looks like the snow won’t melt until summer. All of the skiers were very happy this year.
