Decending route 5V in Roach's book
Instead of returning to Guanella Pass via the sawtooth, I chose to descend this "frequently used shortcut" to avoid the ridge in the afternoon. After decending a steep scree gully, you are faced with at least an hour of wet Bierstadt willows and marsh.
