| Got an early start, but the trailhead was already full at 0730--saw about 20 people on the route. Route says 3 miles but it seems longer, probably because you are climbing 1000 feet per mile. Summit was breezy and pleasant, zero rattlesnake. Very enjoyable hike. | |

| The trail had a lot of vegetation, but I think it's the best way to the top of the Wellsville Ridge. Saw a rattlesnake on the trail, so watch out. Summited "Hawkwatch" peak also. | |
