Awesome overview. I am heading up this weekend. How is the hiking in that area?

It is great. I recommend basecamping at Echo Lake and doing the 4Lakes Loop as a day hike. Hiking the shorter loop through Siligo Meadows is great too. There are a lot of options up there!

Thanks 4 the info. I haven't looked on the map yet, but do you start at the Granite Peak trailhead?

You have two options: You can take the Long Canyon Trail or the Stoney Ridge Trail. Both are great. I like Stoney Ridge better, but that is just personal preference. You can also take Granite Peak, and then use the Stoney Ridge connector trail, but it is hard to find at places and the Stoney Ridge route is not as steep. Check out the pages on Stoney Ridge and Granite Peak trail on the Trinity Alps page for maps and details. Let me know if you have any other questions and how it goes!
