Steve GruhnDeer Mountains not the highest on Revillagigedo Island

Voted 7/10

Ketchikan is on Revillagigedo Island. The highest elevation of the Deer Mountains is 3001 feet. The highest point of Revillagigedo Island is Mount Reid (elevation 4592 feet). Mount Reid is in the Carroll Creek and Portage Cove drainages. There are perhaps 70 or 80 peaks on Revillagigedo Island that are higher than the highest point of the Deer Mountains.

I'm waiting for someone to email me the pictures and names of the roads leading to the trailhead. I hiked this a couple years ago when I was in ketchikan, and had a great time. there are pages on here that say "under construction" for like years, so a week or two while I gather my resources, I believe, is totally understandable. I am also studying for a huge required certification for my job, so that is eating up almost all of my free time.

Looks like a great peak to hike on. I would love to get back to Alaska, endless things to do. Thanks for making the page!
