| Penelope May-Smrz and I hiked the trail yesterday 12/7/2012. There is no snow on San Jacinto, but the temps are low, the high was in the 50s. There was just one guy coming down the trail early in the morning, he overnighted at Little Round Valley. We did it as a day hike, 20.6 miles RT from Idyllwild. This might be the best time to hike San Jacinto, dry conditions, cool temps and a few, if any people. | |

| Nice clockwise loop up thru Little Round Valley and back down via Wellman Divide and PCT. Below Suicide Rock junction trial is pretty warm and dusty in the afternoon sun. | |
