Dense Pinon forest on Scodie Mountain
Dense Pinon forest, such as this found high on the northest ridge, is one of the principle challenges to hiking Scodie Mountain. There is always a way, but sometimes the easy way involves descending and traversing, or tunnelling through a weak spot in the woods. February 12, 2006.
