We were very surprised to find this beautiful lake on the summitridge of the Pointe Kurz. We waited an hour at the lake because of our fast ascent of the North Face. Pennine Alps - August 2008

Thank you Larry. In Dutch you can say something like "bedankt voor het plaatsen van deze foto" (thanks for posting this picture). I like it too! One of my favourites from my last holiday.

Nice picture! with the higher temperatures more of these lakes will start to exist I think...

I was surprised too! Actually there's another lake between the Pointe Kurz and the Mont Brulé. This summer there also was a lake near the Gr. Bigerhorn (Mischabel Group). Never seen these lakes before..
