Dent du Geant

Silvio on the first pitch. We did a slightly harder version of the normal route by heading straight up instead of following the fixed gear to the left on the second pitch (crux was an overhung crack; felt 5.9 plus but hard to tell in mountaineering boots). The route then rejoins the normal on the third pitch, just time for the crux face climbing, which we freed instead of using all the in situ junk. Highly recommended.
