Hasn't voted | Straight ahead is Huacaran Norte over 6600m and to the left is Huascaran Sur. We believed that the horizon on the right was the Pacific Ocean, though we could see more clealy from earlier in the mroning at sunrise. Quite the distance and vertical though at over 6000m! | | Posted Dec 16, 2009 3:50 pm |

Voted 10/10 | If you're looking north to the massive summits of Huascaran then the Pacific Ocean would be to your left, to the west. A forgiveable oversight, as hypoxia sets in at the impressive altitude you earned the old fashioned way. Impressive work, stunning foto. Alibedes all around. | | Posted Sep 14, 2011 6:04 pm |

Hasn't voted | Actually Huascaran Norte is straight West of Chopi and the ocean is visible over its shoulder. You can see this on Google Earth quite clearly. I dont know if that is exactly what you see in this photo. It may be a layer of stratus clouds over the ocean but earlier in the morning we could almost certainly see the Pacific!
