Desert Frog-- Many Pools, Zion | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
We found frogs hanging out in some of the pools. Most dove for the bottom when we got anywhere close, but this one was a patient subject.

Voted 10/10 | I keep hearing how frogs are supposed to be
disappearing, which some folks find alarming.
The species in the desert seems to be fat
and happy. If you go up ANY canyon in Arizona, you can find tree-frogs living in
pools amongst the Alligator juniper.
Your frog is saying, "Life Is Good !!!"
(In my opinion, "Nader" is doing a bang-up
job of putting his Zion pages together.) | | Posted May 9, 2011 9:04 am |

Hasn't voted | They might be fine out in Zion, which has had a wetter year than in years past, but I seem to see far fewer each year around where I live. But I blame that more on loss of habitat.

Hasn't voted | It's not sunset, but it is late afternoon, and there was nice lighting. | | Posted May 9, 2011 2:54 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Leaves, flowers, and butterfiles weren't enough for you? You had to bring frogs/toads into the mix?!?! | | Posted May 9, 2011 12:58 pm |

Voted 10/10 | That's a 5.10c move with wet fingerpads. The frog is good. Damn good. | | Posted May 9, 2011 3:58 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Suction works even better when wet. I figure if I had suction cups on my finger tips, instead of chalk bag, I'd be carrying a water bag.

Voted 10/10 | With all due respect, it's NOT easy
to be a frog or a toad.
You're looked upon in a different light.
Some women-folk believe that if they kiss a
frog, they will find Prince Charming.
My wife calls me "The Prince," but I don't
have suction cups on my toes. Go figure .. | | Posted May 9, 2011 8:12 pm |
