Desert gold, Texas Springs, Death Valley
This was during the biggest el nino in years and the valley floor was covered with flowers. The sky was heavy but any precipitation that fell was blown back into the sky by the heat rising off the valley.
It's a long way from Olympic National Park folks.
Across the valley to the northwest are Tucki Mountain, 6,732', left, Tin Mountain, 8,953', back right
