| Don't remember exactly when but it was early 90's. Flashlights are good. I got too friendly with a Japanese tourist in the long dark tunnel and I don't know what she said but she wasn't happy. | |

| Round trip from the condo in Waikiki was about two and half to three hours. Walked up to the gate, paid my one dollar admission, went to the top, and descended. Easy trail for anyone on summitpost, but this is probably the best vantage point of Honolulu. Enjoy! | ||

| If you've taken the 6+ hour flight from the mainland to get to Hawaii, you should be able to find an hour to do this Oahu classic. Early morning view was beautiful. | |
