Dinwoody Glacier

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Dinwoody Glacier
August 21st, 2006 - Looking back up the Dinwoody Glacier after finishing our descent from Bonney Pass. One feature that struck me as odd was all of the parallel seams running down the length of the glacier. They are too small and uniform to be melt channels. Could the glacier have enough differential movement between the edge and center to be shearing itself into these ribbons?
