Directly below this cairn (located in California, is the Lyon County highpoint. The California-Nevada border is between this cairn and the knob that is the highest spot in Lyon county Nevada. Nevada highway 338 can be seen in the background as well as Mt. Grant, off in the distance. Many mistake this cairn (with the big stick in it) as the Lyon County highpoint. 5-31-04
