| Last time I was on Yam was in 2000 and climbed Gollum Grooves with Martin Minarik. Jason Wilcox and I had hot weather and a great time on Direttissima. I was not up with leading the "5.8" pitches, but Jason cruised them. Great times! | |

| I thought several of the 5.8+ sections were pretty tough for "5.8". The traverse on pitch 5 was casual and there are pins to protect it and gear before the roof. Rained and horrible on the final pitch made it semi-epic. A great day out though! | |

| Did this one on an afternoon in August 2004. Great atmoshpere although rock quality wasn't the best! As for the traverse, it is impressive but the climbing is easy on that little bit. | |

| Another great outing with Lynette...the chockstone on pitch 9 is a lot of fun....the traverse on pitch 5 is not....but after doing Forbidden Corner, no complaints about non protected traverses on Direttissima | |
