Route Climbed: From Discovery Lake Meadow Date Climbed: Fall of 1992
I hiked in to Discovery Lake with two of my students from Karate class. I was the young one in the group. We summited the peak in a couple of hours and were back down to the lake before dark. It was a fairly easy climb. I had only climbed one other peak before this one so it was pretty new to me. I thought that the old abandoned mine was quite cool. It was a pretty overcast day but we did not get rained on so it was worthwhile.
"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."
