Nice little page.

What kind of martial arts did/do you practice?

I don't currently practice anymore. But I studied and taught Kenpo Karate. I had also studied Aikido and dabbled a little bit into some other styles. Thanks for the interest and the vote.

Nice mountain. Your pages are looking good.

Do you always practice Karate on top of a summit? A sword through the head doesn't look too comfortable!

Hi there. Well I used to. I am no longer active in the arts. I have since recovered from that sword injury, : )

Although I must say it didn't hurt a bit. This particular mountain I had climbed with two students, so we mainly trained at the base of the mountain where it was a bit more level. I appreciate the kind comments and the vote. Thank you. -Matt-

Directions are good, especially if you wrote them from memory from 13 years ago! You should update the photos, with better overview pictures, when possible. I almost gave it three stars for lack of an overview shot of the mountain.

Youth Group Hike '88/'89

I believe this is the peak that I climbed in either 1988 or '89 as a teen with our community church youth group, a church member and neighbor named Mr Bogar, lead our hike as he was an experienced hiker and knew the area well. It was a great adventure. We also wrote our names in the log. I'm wondering if there is a way to access the log books online?
