Distant Piney Lake is the starting point for the climb of Peak C, Mount Powell and other peaks of the northern Gore Range. In the foreground is the West Ridge, used to climb the West Face of Peak C. This picture is a view from Couloir #2 on the route. Round trip distance is 9 miles minimum. See the route here. Fall, 2004.

I would agree, and I would think this is where our two routes merge for a short time. Your route probably stayed on the tundra after that. Ellen and I stayed to the right and climbed the rock ramp and descended the tundra. Fun mountain!
