Divide Mountain

Looking due north from the crumbly slopes of Mad Wolf Mountain, I captured this interesting shot of Divide Mountain. Taken as our group ascended a break in the cliffs en route to Mad Wolf's upper slopes. The Cut Bank Road is visible leading out of frame to the right near the valley bottom. The prominent white cliffs in the foreground, comprised of Altyn limestone, are visible at various points throughout the eastern front of Glacier National Park. August 13, 2011
