OK, Radek....I've seen you do crazier things. Lately, we've been keeping to peakbaggin' and taking a rest from technical climbing. What are you two planning?

Sorry for the lateness Dave - did not notice this earlier.

Yeah right - never rope-free though !!! :) Awsome shot!

Thinking of going to Smith more now that the really crappy Oregon weather is back (Smith is dry). When are you and Deb coming out this way for some volcanic tuff cragging? It's fun stuff and we have some good beer too :)

let us know.

It's about 30 or 40 feet long. We saw pictures from Bob Burd's 2004 Sierra Challenge and thought this would be wild to check out. We were rewarded with a fun 3rd class scramble and an exciting finish to the summit.

...Deb must have had BOTH hands on the camera, that means two points of contact instead of three, WAY COOL. Great Shot.

Appreciate everyone's comments on this photo. I honestly don't remember how I was hanging on...!! But the ledge wasn't that scarey once you were on it, seriously (just don't look down!)

Dragon Peak is the most fun Class 3 I've done this year, highly recommended.... too bad the wind is raging so much.

Oh, and call me clumsy, too. I would have slid right down the mountain.

It really was very easy, certainly not the scariest part of the climb; but true if you slipped you would have bounced and bonked many hundreds of times before hitting bottom. =O

Awesome shot Dave. But no bottle of port or cigar in one hand? If Dave had a cigar in one hand and port in the other, then I'd worry Jennifer. Dave is a professional member and officer in the Decadent Outdoor Adventurers, after all!!
