Route Climbed: Peaks 4 and 5 Date Climbed: June 19, 2005 Date Climbed: Jun 19, 2005
Had a partner from Australia this day. These June snow conditions, as reflected via the photos, are extremely unusual. The entire Canadian Rockies from Kananaskis to Jasper National Park has far more snow and ice than I have ever witnessed in June.
I do enjoy these wintry like conditions on scrambles as they serve as solid preparation for more technical summer alpine climbs. However, most alpine climbs are rated as extreme avalanche danger as of June 20, 2005.
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
