In middle of august we went to Dolomites. We arrived 4.00 pm to the camp. We had a little time of this day so we started at 5.00 pm on Michielli-Stobel via ferrata. The first part of the route was very funny because we found the bridge that we wanted to go through not above the river. The river has flown in new river basin. We walked across the river. It was very refreshing because the water was very cold and fast flowing. We didn’t meet anybody on the mountain. This via ferrata was lovely. Sometimes it was exposed and the view in the sunset was amazing from Punta Fiames.

Next day we went to Lipella via ferrata. We didn’t start too early but we reached the crowd very soon on the mountain which unfortunatelly slowed down us a lot. It seems at half way that bad weather is coming so almost everybody interrupted their climbing and started to go down. The mountain started to be empty. Only five of us and some italian continued the route. The walls became a little bit slidy because of the rain but it made our climbing a little bit more interesting. When we reached the ridge at the end of the wired part it was fog on the summit. Sometimes it started snowing and we could see only few meters in front of us. Altough it was beautiful route.

It was raining all the night so we travelled to Limski Kanal, Croatia.

Sometimes we saw the mountains beyond the clouds so we tried to make some photographs like these:

I climbed the Lipella in august too, but I was more lucky: nice weather and very few people. You seem to like vie ferrate, I thought climbers hated this kind of routes.
