With hundreds of peaks, big walls, caves, canyons and glaciers to choose from, the Dolomites are by far one of the best climbing/hiking/spelunking areas I have ever been to! The monsterous cliffs of Cima Grande (near the Dolomites) itself are worth the trip!

Robin and I enjoyed a wonderful week here. I admit I get confused with 2 names for every feature. hope to go back some day.

civetta, an impressive peak. equally impressive to a green 19 year old was this solo traverse of some pretty dilapidated via ferratas.

an ice climb in the dolomites? yes, and a pretty good one too. max 50-55 degrees and about 1500 feet. first major north face we did, as 'training' for the western alps.
