that's the mountain where our famous French alpinist Patrick Berault died 3 years ago. A snow corniche broke. Sad moment.

It was on the ridge from Täschorn to Dom. Patrick has previously survived to a 800m fall on Pelvoux east side in 1978.

to get the best of all possible weathers, Sebastian!
Left of Dom summit, just below the ridge, is this a queue of climbers?

Thanks Reinhard! No these are rocks. Yes, we were very lucky with the weather.

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."   --Calvin Coolidge
