Don Dovey rappelling past the first pitch of the West Ridge Route on July 22, 2001. As you can see, it was a double-rope rappel. The first pitch (for us anyway) went up that open book trending left where Don is located. There are obviously variations to getting up this first pitch. |  Image Data
