Dor Beetle

Dor Beetles (Geotrupes stercorarius) are large dung beetles. They live in mountain meadows, forests and farmlands. They are about 15 mm do 25 mm in size. Both the larvae and the adults feed on dung every day. I must say,

your college background really
shows in your work. When I first
saw this beetle, I thought it
resembled or looked like the ones
from the BIG-SCREEN MOVIE, "The
Mummy Returns." Yes, those are the
Scarab beetles. In the movie, the
beetles feed on human flesh. Its
just a FANTASY movie; not real.
Ha,ha! Dzieki! Its a GREAT beetle!

Thanks. Seeing dor beetle usually means that the roe deer are nearby, so it is exciting. Henryk
