It is located in Echo Rock Area which is very easy accessible - just east of Hidden Valley Campground. It offers a good assortment of face and crack climbs. There are many classic routes here and that means it can get crowded here at times, so come early.
Although there is a singular Echo Rock, the entire area is made up of several formations and granite corridors
Take the road just past Hidden Valley Campground to the Echo Rock parking area. The west face of Echo Rock is the huge slab clearly visible from the lot.
Double Dip is a nice beginner slab climb with pro placements as well as the occasional bolt.
Short slab to a bolt, than up enormous flake. Than steep slab move off the top of the flake to another bolt. After that really nice steep slabbing to a more comfortable slab to the top. Belay from a bolt anchor and walk off the left side down ramps which a found little tricky.
Light rack up to #3 or #4 Camalot (for the huge flake)
4 or 5 bolts
