time figuring out why people down-vote photos.
This cabin is a nice thing to have around in
the dead of winter, and it does get really
cold in northern Arizona. Awesome photo!!!

It's a mystery and perhaps it was a mistake? I think we locals should make an overnight trip up there this May or June when its dry, but there may be still be some snow for water, to restore the walls of the cabin. Maybe we could make it a usable wind proof camp site? It seems like Doyle is really the only peak in The Peaks that is well suited to camping on it's summit, and therefore it should be the highest peak in the state to camp on.

Yes, I agree !!!

Member "markmay" must still be out-of-town.

In my opinion, this looks rather disgraceful.
And, it would make sense to spiff it up!

Perhaps we could get with the FS to find out
what the story is on the current condition of
the cabin and what materials we'll need for
possible restoration.

(This photo was apparently taken in 2006.)

PM me to help get 'er done !!!
