Dragon's Tail  Sucess!

Super chill ledge walk into one of the most fun class 3 scrambles I've done. Was dumb and left the house late, ended up getting to the pass around noon and having to park clear down past Lunch Creek. Added a couple extra miles to the day.

Sunset climb  Sucess!

Interesting climb, especially in the late evening.

A quick climb before work

Had a late start at work, so Eric, Kasey and myself enjoyed a nice little morning climb. Great views and a great, underrated peak.

Dragon's Tail  Sucess!

Did this one solo after climbing Reynolds. Was the first to summit that day. Traversed the summit ridge West for a better view of Sperry Glacier basin. Wonderful day.

Maybe a new favorite GNP half day?  Sucess!

Once past the hordes of people near Logan Pass, this was an exceptionally nice hike and climb. Just wish I'd brought up a new summit register notebook to supplement the decaying collection of paper that's up there now.

Give this one a USGS designation!  Sucess!

Climbed this one with Harlan and Maddie from Logan Pass. The parking has gotten crazy up there, so we found a lower spot and added some elevation. I attempted this one a few years ago, and the north side climbers trails have become much more defined since then. Just wondering why this peak, with prominence, along the Continental Divide, has no USGS designation?

Dragons Tail  Sucess!

Loved all the rocks and cliffs on this one, it wasn't boring that's for sure. Nice views too.

Dragon's Tail  Sucess!

Started off the climb alone then ascended up with a couple. There were pretty much no views, lots of fog but still totally worth it. Will have to go back on a much sunnier day.

Fun Addition  Sucess!

Did this with Reynolds Peak. From the top of Reynolds it took us an hour to get to the summit of Dragons Tail. We took the 4th class chimney and that was interesting and loose. The class three ledges adjacent to it are alot better

Take Sunscreen  Sucess!

Views are good of Hidden Lake, but probably better from Reynolds. Also from Reynolds, Dragon's Tail looks amazing. You can do just part of the tail and get most of the experience.

Very Enjoyable  Sucess!

Nearly cloudless skies most of the day, which began with temps in the 30s and the first snow of the year just barely feathering the higher peaks in the park. Fun route; the goat trail is lively enough to hold your attention and the way up to the ridge is a fun scramble. Great views all around. We watched hordes of people trekking up and down Reynolds but only met two other climbers on the Dragon's Tail. Great hike.

East Ledge & Scramble  Sucess!

2012 with Moni on a beautiful but hot day.

4 Sep 2009 with Vernon Garner (Saintgrizzly) - a very fun scramble from the ledge to ridge top.

Note - We used the ledge shown in THIS PHOTO by FlatheadNative, not the one shown on the main page. This ledge is also marked by cairns and was marked with flagging. The trail on this ledge leads to a spot on the first large couloir that can be easily crossed and does not match the description in Edwards.

Dragon's Tail  Sucess!

Another great day climbing. I was not a big fan of the goat trail, but I loved the cliffs. Six of us were greeted at the summit by a friendly goat. Thanks to the route description and photos in the book "Climb Glacier National Park.

Dragon's Tail  Sucess!

Great day in the park. Fun and easy climb to the top of the ridge and nice walk to the summit. Had to pretty much run down the Hidden Lake Trail before I was surrounded by walls of tourists. Climbed with Rebelgrizz.
