Looking back at my route over the first part of Bwlch Main, (I had used the higher South Ridge track), I could see I wasn't the only one who had problems crossing it!

I like this Bryan, I think the higher S/R track is safer !!!

Me too! My plan had been to do the summit and then descend via the Rhyd Ddu path, (the lower of the two routes above). But I felt that would be too difficult, so went down the Rangers Path and then ended up with a 3 mile road walk in the valley back to my car!
