Dripping Spring Mountain from the Jakes Creek Trail

Because the Smokies have an abundance of dense vegetation, this counts as a "good" view of a mountain destination. Views from the top are often similarly obstructed. It's all part of the charm.

This is Dripping Springs Mountain from about two-thirds of the way up the Jakes Creek Trail. The trail goes up the drainage to Jakes Gap. Then it turns left to traverse near, but not to, the summit.
