Dry Cimarron Scenic By Way (Map)

There are a number of ways to get to Black Mesa, Oklahoma's state highpoint, but in 2003 the hostess at Black Mesa State Park (on which the highpoint is located) said this was the best! There are exceptional views along the scenic by way, and there are a number of places to stop that are suitable for hiking (download the descriptions page page of the flyer for info). The road is mostly dirt, but it's well-maintained and can be traveled even in a low-clearance vehicle. If your travel plans permit, I recommend staying either at Sugarite Canyon State Park, NM or Black Mesa State Park, OK.
