| Somehow, the pictures don't do it justice. Sure it is a slog, but a solo hiker gets a chance for introspection -- it seems *really* in the middle of nowhere, once you drop over the ridge. I got the idea of the south ridge from Kathy W -- boy that was a pleasant descent. If you take the time to go all the way there from the east side, be sure to walk west and north across the top -- that's where you'll get the best views. | |
