Leading the steep but juggy P5 of DSB. Started to rain when we topped out on this pitch (Aug. 6, 2006).

Sounds like a hard climb from the description. Nice go at it. Rock looks kinda chunky.

Yeah, I suspect rock quality and climbing get better on the upper half of DSB (and the views probably get better above on S. Ridge). Those first ~5 pitches were not that great IMHO and the rock was a little loose. It'll take a few years to get motivated enough to go back there.
